Handcrafted in Aiken, South Carolina by skilled artisans, this castor oil wrap combines uncompromising quality with ethical production. The inner layer features 100% organic cotton—soft and hypoallergenic against skin—while the outer waterproof layer uses organic PUL material. Even the elastic straps are organic. At 10x18 inches with stretch capacity up to 66 inches in diameter, it fits most body types. Important Info:
- Staining: Castor oil can stain clothing, sheets, and anything it comes in contact with. Washing the wrap may stain other items in your washing machine.
- Menstruation: Castor Oil Packs can be worn during your period. If it's your first time using a Castor Oil Pack, wait until the end of your period to begin to avoid intense cramps.
- Pregnancy: Castor Oil Packs should not be used during pregnancy.
- Postpartum and Breastfeeding: It is recommended to wait until you have finished breastfeeding before using Castor Oil Packs.
Cleaning Up After Using a Castor Oil Pack:
After use, remove the pack and cleanse the skin with gentle soap to remove any residual oil. Store the pack in the bag it comes in, and if you keep it in the refrigerator it will last longer. Typically around 3 months if using the wraps nightly.
To clean the wrap: Never wash in the washing machine because the castor oil will stain everything in there with it, and you would also damage the wrap. If you wear it over night, in the morning, hand wash with water and natural dish soap, then wring it out very well. Take an old towel (that you don't mind staining) and lay the outer layer of the pack against it. Roll the pack up in the tea towel, blotting out the oil until there is a little oily residue left on the outer layer. Hang to dry.
